Are you two sick of the cat and mouse game you're both involved in? (Although I could point that at the candidates - I'm talking to dummidumbwit and chrisfiore5)

I must say I have my head spinning with issues. From the crumbling of our fiancial foundations in the U.S. I find myself wondering if wearing a wedding dress and having anything that remotely resembles a wedding is irresponsible.

Of course, I had already decided not to wear a traditional dress or have the traditional wedding since, well. .. it doesn't really mean all that much to me. Marrying the man I love and having our closest friends and family out (if they can afford it) for a gianormous party (I love that slang word) is what is important to me. I hope that the economic difficulties we are facing and have yet to face, will bring people closer and help them to realize what is truly important.

I don't care how Obama's salary has increased. I love McCain for his contribution to charities.

Nothing will change my vote.

I just hope all you undecided voters can close the gap before Nov. 4.

oh yes, the published "author"

John McCain has published 5 books and donates all of his proceeds to charity, also 24% of his yearly salary goes to charities.

Barack donated 6% of his salary last year to charity, even though it was by far his best earnings to date.

He's a published author, sales of Mein Kamp jumped off the scale when Hitler was Chancellor (I know never bring up Hitler, but..) As he became more prominent though his campaign, his book sales increased I would think, not the wonderful Bush economy?

Even within the democrats we have differences, but I always opposed John McCain's Nuclear Power positions not as an anti Nuclear Power person (which I'm neither pro nor against really) but having them installed under a administration that preaches deregulation. Now, even with the Mortgage deregulation, some democrats may have dirty hands, but Deregulation is not, has never been nor will ever be a core democratic position. It is a core position of the republicans and much hay should be made of this, it should stick and work?

Ofcourse there is more involved here than gender or race...

this crisis of the economy for example.

did you know that according to Barack Obama's tax statements he claimed in 2000-2004 he made about $225,000 a year on average. In 2005 it jumped to $1,600,000. Why? 5 years chugging along at a 1/4 mil then all of a sudden his income increases more than 6 times? In 2006 he claimed $960,000, so his income dropped a bit, but in 2007 it increased to $4,200,000! In 3 years his income increased by nearly 20 times!

And he was able to do this while George Bush was in office! He also said he would not implement his new tax plan until the economy recovered. If the economy will fix itself and we can all make millions if we only knew his secret (*wink wink*), why do we need him?

In pickin Palin, John Mcain and the republican party is just trying to play another one of there dirty games...

"I would think you as a young woman would be thrilled to see a woman on the ticket, regardless of her politics. "

Ric hit it right on the head with this comment. To be a young woman and be thrilled just because a woman is on the ticket is in a way ignorant, to actually vote for her just because shes a woman is plain stupid.
To get me thrilled, it wouldn't be an issue of sex (or race) it would be an issue of a person who has the same views as I do or at least works torwads changes I believe in.

Chris-
(First and Foremost) The problems of energy need to be realized. Oil is passe. I like the fact that you have brought to the table that "global warming" may be just as manipulative of a term as "the war on terrorism." There are those who have invested in alternative energies and stand to profit. Yet, we all stand to profit in the long run. Someone is going to have to put up the money. It's business as usual. I have strong doubts as to whether the term "global warming" is a scare tactic. Science has proven dramatic climate change over the past thirty years or so.

I don't think terrorists and nationalists should be given the same consideration either and I don't. Nationalists believe: "My country right or wrong!" (which is outmoded thinking isn't it?) Patriots take a more mild stance. "We have made mistakes, lets learn from them and become stronger." So-called "Terrorists" might as well be termed as "Nihilists " as far as media's scant interpretation of who these people are.

Have you ever met one of these people who supposedly believe in nothing? Have they perhaps been as manipulated as you are being? Is there any room for forgiveness? Is there a chance that it's just a misunderstanding?

I do not support in any way, shape, or form, the defense of religious radicals. They gain power by bending law to fit their own devices. I defend freedom. Freedom encourages the right to be who you want to be WITHOUT the discouragement of someone else being exactly who they are.

Or this one, over and over again all the undecided voters can hear an attack specifically mentioning McCain by name and wonder why anyone would think he was talking about the Governor?
